A normal, studded wall should be able to support the weight of the flat screen and the showcase. Concrete and steel walls also pose no problems and mounting hardware is included for them, as well.

If you suspect any damage, please immediately contact the dealer from whom you purchased it, and/or contact us immediately at 415-671-8867. If you have a digital camera, please take photos of any visible damage.
Q: Why might my showcase look different from the online images or dealer piece?
All of our showcases are built to order utilizing an array of materials that may have noticeably differing characteristics. For example, no two pieces of wood or stained glass are identical, and we handpick all of our materials looking for exemplary characteristics. Any differences are typical of the material characteristics and indicative of what makes your showcase unique. If you suspect damage, or something still just doesn’t look right, please contact us at 415-671-8867.
Q: How should I clean my showcase?
Your showcase should be treated like a fine piece of furniture. Generally, dry dusting is adequate for lacquered showcases. However, a non-abrasive, damp cloth may be used on occasion, but be certain to remove any remaining moisture from all surfaces. Do not use chemical cleaning solutions, abrasives or household cleaners like Pledge.

Our showcases are available for standard and super-slim flat screen LCD, Plasma and LED televisions ranging in size from 42” to 65”, as measured diagonally. Our showcases fall into three standard sizes (small, medium and large) and then we select an appropriately sized interior bezel specific for your screen size within those categories. We may also be able to accommodate larger sizes depending upon the size and design. Please contact us directly with larger size requests or to confirm if your particular make and model can accommodate our showcasing. When you place an order, we will confirm that your television will fit, regardless.
Q: How do I mount my showcase to a wall and where can I find installation instructions?
Each showcase comes with our unique, patent-pending Halden-Caviglia Mounting System, as well as with clear instructions and mounting hardware. You do not need to purchase a separate mounting system. The Halden-Caviglia Mounting System enables simple, secure and fast mounting on both wall and horizontal surfaces. Regardless of the ease of installation, we recommend engaging a professional installer from your local dealer particularly given that flat screens tend to be extremely heavy and they can assist you with additional audio/video requirements.
Q: How do I mount my showcase on a credenza or similar horizontal surface?
Optional horizontal surface mounting feet are available for purchase.

No. However, glass inserts are removed and packaged for shipping and will need to be unpacked and installed, a quick and easy process.

Heat is always the enemy of electronics. As such, our showcasing incorporates military-grade ventilation fans that automatically cycle on when power to the flat screen is activated. In addition, there is both top and bottom passive airflow ventilation. You should not have to be concerned about heat issues in a well-ventilated, temperate environment.
Q: Do I need to be concerned about direct sunlight?
Your showcase should be treated like a fine piece of furniture. Intense, direct and prolonged exposure to sunlight may cause your showcase color or finish to fade over time. Careful attention should be paid to this, as there is no material finish that can completely suppress the sun's ultra-violet rays.
Q: Will the showcase interfere with my flat screen speakers?
Each Halden-Caviglia showcase includes its own independent audio system comprised of an amplifier and dual speakers. Depending upon your model showcase and your model flat screen, you may be able to use your flat screen speakers unless they are obstructed by the actual showcase structure. If they are obstructed, then you can utilize the integrated showcase speakers. Alternatively, you can always opt to use an external speaker system, in addition to or separate from either the integrated speakers or your flat screen speakers. The integrated showcase speakers serve simply to make sure you always have audio without having to activate an external speaker/surround sound system. The choice is yours and you can configure the audio depending upon your needs.
Q: Will the showcase structure interfere with my flat screen IR signals?
Each Halden-Caviglia showcase includes an IR Repeater that works with both 40khz and 56khz signals specifically to avoid this potential issue.
Q: What kind of electrical power is required?
Halden-Caviglia showcases require a single, standard AC110V power outlet. All of our power requirements are integrated into one power supply into which your flat screen is also plugged in (in order to enable auto-cycling of the ventilation fans and speaker amplifier).
